Accessing Your COVID-19 Vaccination Status for Travel
From 17 May you can access your COVID-19 vaccination status through the NHS App on mobile devices such as a smartphone or tablet.
If you do not have access to a mobile device and the country you are travelling to requires COVID-19 vaccination status you can call the NHS Helpline on 119 (from 17 May) and ask for a letter to be posted to you. This must be five days after your second vaccination and the letter will take up to five days to reach you.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) - latest guidance
Coronavirus update : If you have a new continuous cough, a high temperature of 37.8 degrees centigrade or higher or a loss of taste or smell you should book a Covid 19 test either online or telephone 119. If someone has serious symptoms they cannot manage at home they should use NHS 111 online (people should only call NHS 111 if they cannot get online). Individuals should stay at home (self-isolate) for 14 days from the onset of symptoms following the current advice.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, how you contact us will be different at the moment. This is to limit face-to-face contact whenever possible and help stop the spread of coronavirus.
Your GP practice is open and if you need to see your GP, please ring us on 01905 744400.
You can also call NHS 111. Please do not come to the surgery unless you have an appointment.
Appointments are being delivered face-to-face, online and over the telephone. If you are asked to come into the surgery for a face-to-face appointment, please remember to wear a face covering. Measures are in place to keep you safe from infection during your visit to the surgery.
Corona Virus Research Survey
The CRN West Midlands would like as many patients as possible to complete a short survey about their views regarding vaccines. This understanding will help us to target education and public health campaigns in the West Midlands and across the country. BEWARE OF SCAMMERS DURING CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
There is heightened coverage around the recent Coronavirus outbreak around the world, which is now severely impacting on the UK and the NHS.
Unfortunately fraudsters are targeting these circumstances to take advantage of public fear and concern.
We have been made aware that patients in the local area are receiving phone calls, texts and letters from fraudsters. They will try and obtain your personal details and in particular your NHS number.
Scammers are sophisticated, opportunistic and will try many ways to get the information they want. They often target the vulnerable.
If you are suspicious, please do not give any details over the phone, hang up and then ring Spring Gardens Practice to confirm.
Before you come in for an appointment
Have you read through this booklet titled 'When should I worry'? (Link here: 'When should I worry?' booklet)
Our GP's regularly recommend it to parents of small children, who bring their child in when they are worried about their child's cough, cold, ear ache, sore throat or temperature symptoms. If you have a read through this booklet, it might mean that you don't need to come in to see someone, crucially saving a GP or Nurse appointment for somebody who really, really needs it. There is lots of support and help in this booklet for all of these common illnesses - there is a lot of self-care that you can do at home.
Find out when our practice is open, what the GP consulting times are and what to do if you need help when the practice is closed.
