Appointments.

Booking an appointment at Spring Gardens Medical Practice.

We’ve made it easy for you to receive the help you need.

You can request an appointment using our online feature. Your request will be triaged and you will be contacted by a member of the practice team. Please fill out this form if you have a medical issue. Please only use this for routine requests, if more urgent please ring the surgery.

Your request will be subject to our usual triage process to ensure that the most appropriate member of the team addresses your concerns.

If you are sending a photo, please DO NOT include any intimate areas.

NHS 111 online: Check your symptoms - NHS 111 online offer a symptom checker and can advise you of an appropriate care pathway, we encourage all our patients to check this before filling out this form.

Please note that we may reply via your email account or NHS app. Due to this please make sure you have downloaded and registered for the NHS app and have turned ON notifications.

Alternatively, you can call the practice on 01905 744 400 for any appointments you may want to book. We offer a call back service as peak call times so you do not need to wait on the phone to speak to a member of the reception team.

How to book an appointment.

All consultations are by appointment only at Spring Gardens Medical Practice, so please plan ahead and book in advance as much as you can. We offer GP appointments up to 4 weeks in advance, with a limited number of appointments available for each GP. Please contact us on 01905 744400.

Booking an Appointment Online

It’s much quicker for you to use our online services for advice compared to booking an in-person appointment. Usually, a Clinician will review your online request within 24-48 hours and get in touch with you for a telephone appointment. Booking this way also takes some of the pressure off our phone lines, which are extremely busy! Of course, if you believe you need to see a doctor in person then book a normal appointment by calling the Surgery - otherwise, why not give our Online Consultation platform a try? Simply click the link below to get started.

Urgent Appointments

We reserve a number of appointments each day for urgent cases. If you need to see a doctor urgently, please call us as soon as we open at 8:30am and advise the Receptionist at the time of booking. Please ensure that you only request an urgent appointment for treatment of conditions requiring immediate consultation.

Our receptionists are trained to ask you the nature of your call, this way they can direct you to the best person to deal with your problem/condition - this may not always be a GP and by signposting you correctly, the first time, we can save you time by making sure you are dealt with quickly and by the correct specialist.

Home Visits and Telephone Advice.

Home Visits

Home visits are available for patients who are either housebound or unable to visit the Practice due to illness. All home visits will be organised by a clinician, with more serious or urgent visits taking priority. If possible, please call the Practice before 10am if you require a home visit, to give the clinician time to plan the visits.

Telephone Advice

Telephone advice is accessible by completing our Online Consultation, after which a Clinician will be in touch to give you advice over the phone.

Cancellations.

Please always let us know if you don’t wish to take up your appointment. Even if it is at the last minute, we can always fill it. We understand that you may now feel better or something else has cropped up and we are happy to rearrange… But please tell us!

You can cancel by calling 01905 744400 or by logging in to your preferred online service (such as the NHS App). Please click the relevant button below to cancel your appointment.

Please note that we do record all incidences of not turning up, and we will be in touch if you miss an appointment. We do reserve the right to ask you to leave the practice list if you won’t help us to help you by keeping to your appointments - as missed appointments cost the NHS money, and make it harder for the rest of our local community to access appointments with us.
